    Delivery Policy

Subject to availability of products and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 24-48 hours. You may select either:

    a)    Surface Mail: this is by boat and takes around +/-12-14 weeks for delivery. Although slower it is a cheaper option and it has a tracking system for parcels. If their are any delays at the post office in Sa this can considerbly increase the time it takes. Please ensure that you do not order items that will expire within the transit time as we will NOT do any refunds o any items ordered that have expired by the time it arrives.

    b)    2 options:  1. Airmail for Large Parcels and 2. Registered Airmail. Registered Airmail is for small parcels generally up to 1kg and has NO insurance option but does have tracking. Airmail for Large parcels: with a tracking number (+/-10-15 working days for delivery):

IF SHIPPING (for AIRMAIL and SURFACE MAIL)  = R100 000.00 - this just means that the items in your cart have reached our maximum loaded shipping rates and we will have to calculate your shipping manually for you. PLease email us and we will manually calculate your shipping.

the client can request the parcels to be resent - an additional handling fee of R50.00 and the additional airmail will be levied per parcel / order.  If however the clients request a refund  : this would depend on the condition that the goods were returned in - if the goods are able to be resold  then the normal cancellation policy will apply i.e. 25% administration fee will levied against the value of the items ordered (excluding the shipping paid). If the goods returned are not able to be resold  due to the condition of the goods - then no refunds will be given.

    4. Parcels are lost due to the postal system:

We will first place a manual tracking with the South African postal system. This can take +/- 3 months to get a reply from the post office as they have to manaually request information from each part of the shipping partners. If in the highly unlikely event that the parcel has been lost or destroyed - Expatshop will not be held liable for any refunds in this instance.
